Polar Bear Ornament

Heavy fur texturing etched into the brass gives this polar bear a substantial presence inside its thin circular frame. The artist captured the distinctively long neck and slight Roman nose that distinguish *Ursus maritimus* from other bear species. Warm gold-tone metal creates an interesting contrast against the icy Arctic theme of the portrait.
