Framed Pelican Variants

Wild Bryde pelican earrings and bracelet, in gold-plated, rhodium-plated and sterling silver finishes. A coastal safari species rendered in etched brass. Collectible nature-inspired jewelry.

Mike Warner’s photo-etching catches the heavy, hooked bill and distinctive gular pouch that pelicans use to dip-net fish right out of the surf. By setting the bird’s profile inside a smooth outer frame, the design uses thin brass sheet to create a striking silhouette while preserving delicate linework throughout the wing and neck feathers. My favorite detail is how that broad throat pouch naturally draws the eye, anchoring the entire framed composition.
