Sand Dollar

Mike Warner captured the key field mark of *Mellita quinquiesperfora*—the five petal-like pore tracks where the living sea urchin once extended its tube feet—and etched it directly into these brass discs. The photo-etching process reproduces that floral pattern with sharp accuracy, creating subtle texture across the flat metal surface. Offered as drops or posts in both gold and silver-rhodium finishes, this design is one of the scarcer echinoderm pieces in my collection.
