Mike Warner swapped the typical straight rays of a sunburst for looping, coiled arms in this very scarce earring design. The photo-etched brasswork clearly defines the central face, using the gold-tone finish to emphasize the fluid curves of the solar flares. I appreciate how the rounded lines change the profile of a standard celestial motif into something much more active.
